Kailash Nandi & Inner Parikrama Tour - 18 Days

Nandi & Inner Kailash Tour is the most sacred and challenging KORA among devotees. It is considered holy center of the universe among both Hindu and Buddhist religious group. Mt Kailash Tour drawn to many pilgrimage groups from all over the world to have divine glimpse of Lord Shiva’s abode to attain release from the clutches of ignorance and delusion. Mt Kailash Tour along covers circuit around the holy mountain-clockwise for the Buddhists, anti-clockwise for Bon adherents are known as a Kora or Parikrama (Circuit) and normally it takes three days.  Along the Nandi Inner Kailash Tour visitors take a short plunge in the nearby sacred site Manasarovar Lake. Especially some serious devotees like to different way of Kora around the holy Mt Kailash to pay their attention to Lord Shiva.

Day 01: Arrival Kathmandu. (1300m)
Day 02: Kathmandu. Visit Pashupatinath & Budhaneelkanth.
Day 03: Kathmandu – Friendship border – Nyalam (165 km)
Day 04: Free day at Nayalam, for acclimatize.
Day 05: Nyalam – Saga (240 km)(4450m)
Day 06: Saga – Paryang (200 km)(4600m)
Day 07: Paryang – Mansarovar (270 km)(4558m)
Day 08: Mansarovar Parikrama, Holy dip and Haven Puja. Drive to Dharchen (4600m)
Day 09: Drive to Sheralung Gompa, walk towards Ashtapad (5 km. from seralug gumpa). Night camping for Nandi Parikrama(4900m)
Day 10: Nandi Parikarma & Back to Sheralung Gompa than drive to Darchen. Visit Sapat Rishi cave.
Day 11: Morning drive to valley of god and start Kailash Parikarma. Reach Diraphuk (5000m).
Day 12: Kailash Parikarma start at 4:00 AM through Khande Salung. Dolma La to Zuthulpuk trek down.
Day 13: End of Kailash Parikarma, jeeps pick up & drop to Darchen. Lunch and drive to Mansarovar.
Day 14: Mansarovar to Prayang.
Day 15: Prayang to Saga.
Day 16: Saga to Nayalam.
Day 17: Nayalam to Kathmandu.
Day 18: Depart Kathmandu.




Day 01: Arrival Kathmandu (1300 M)
Arrive Kathmandu. Assistance at the Tribhuvan International Airport and transfer to hotel. Overnight in Hotel.

Day 02: Kathmandu
After breakfast City tour of Kathmandu. Visit Pashupatinath & Budhaneelkanth. Overnight in Hotel.

Day 03: Kathmandu – Nyalam (3750m/165 km)
After early breakfast leave Kathmandu at 5:00 AM, reach border. After Immigration formalities drive to Nayalam. Overnight in Guesthouse.

Day 04: Nyalam
Free day at Nayalam, for acclimatize.  Overnight at Guest   house.

Day 05: Nyalam – Saga (4450m/240 km)
After early breakfast leave Nayalam at 5:00 AM for Saga. Overnight Guesthouse.

Day 06: Saga – Prayang (4600m/200 km)
After early breakfast leave Saga at 7:00 AM for Prayang. Overnight Guesthouse.

Day 07: Prayang – Mansarovar (4558m/270 km)
After early breakfast leave Prayang at 7:00 AM for Mansarovar. Overnight in Guest house at Manasarovar.

Day 08: Mansarovar – Darchen (4600m)
Today Parikrama, Holy dip Mansarovar Lake and Havan Puja. After lunch drive to Dharchen (Base camp of Kailash). Preparation for Parikrama. Overnight at Dharchen.

Day 09: Darchen – Sheralung Gompa – Ashtapad (4900m)
Early Morning 6:00 AM drive to Sheralung Gompa , walk towards Ashtapad. (5 km. from seralug gumpa). Overnight Camping for Nandi Parikrama.

Day 10: Nandi Parikrama - Darchen
Early morning 4:00 AM Start Nandi Parikarma & Back to Sheralung Gompa, OR Jeeps pick up & drive to Darchen about 8-9 hours. On the way we will visit Sapat Rishi cave as well.  Overnight in Guesthouse.

Day 11: Darchen – Tarboche – Dirapuk (5000m)
Early Morning drive to valley of god and start Kailash Parikarma. 18 km easy trek and reach Dirapuk. Overnight Guesthouse.

Day 12: Dirapuk – Khande Salung – Zuthulpuk
Kailash Parikarma - starts your walk at 4:00 AM through Khande Salung. Meet group & camp 7-8 kms after Dolma La. ( Zuthul puk) Overnight Camp or Guest house.

Day 13: Zuthulpuk – Darchen – Mansarovar
End of Kailash Parikarma, jeeps pick up & drop to Darchen. Lunch at Dharchen then dirve to Hore Village near Mansarovar. Overnight at Guesthouse.

Day 14: Morning drive to Paryang. Overnight stay in Guesthouse.

Day 15: Morning drive to Saga and overnight stay in Guest House.

Day 16: Saga to Nayalam.Overnight at Guesthouse.

Day 17: Nayalam to Kathmandu.Overnight in Hotel.

Day 18: Depart Kathmandu

Packing List (Yatries must carry with them)
  • A small day pack. (Back pack for personal items)
  • Enough clothing for the whole Yatra. Do not over load your bag.
  • Any regular medicines that you take
  • Toiletries’ kit (soap, shampoo, toothbrush, towels etc).
  • Water bottle / Thermos/ Flask for hot water (2 liters).
  • Sports shoes & Trekking boots (Good one for walking)
  • Woolen socks (around 4 pairs).
  • Wool/thermal long underwear (comfortable dress for Parikrama).

Note : Ladies should carry a pair of Kurta Surwal / Pants for the Parikrama
  • Underpants (3 or 4).
  • Gloves. Dust mask
  • Sunglasses.
  • Sun lotion cream. Lip guard
  • Nuts, Biscuits, Dry fruits, Powder juice.
  • Rain wear (Umbrella or Raincoat)
  • Torchlight /flashlight / Candle / Matchsticks
Also advised to bring:
  • Glucose & Electral packets which is good for instant energy.
  • Dry fruits, juice powder, candy, canned or packed food, nuts and biscuits etc.

Health:
Pilgrims (Yatri) do not need to submit any health certificate but it is advisable to consult your doctor.
Those with history of medical problems, particularly cardiac or respiratory, should consult their doctor before deciding/booking this Kailash Yatra. This is a short of an expedition for those who are not walking regularly. Being a challenging yatra where most of the days spent at high altitude, we suggest you to start preparing now. Start morning walk minimum 3 – 5 km daily. Jogging, running, swimming and joining a health club will help to complete Kailash Yatra successfully.
